What I have done in the past //
I am a multi-disciplinary Designer in Toronto. I have an MA of Design from the University for the Creative Arts London, where I graduated with distinction, and an Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design from Durham College. In my career thus far I've been able to work in Broadcasting; where I developed my skills as a Motion Designer by developing opening title sequences and explainer videos for news and sports broadcasts. From there I worked for a B2B design firm; Stingray Business where I combined strategy, concepts and design by adapting existing client brand standards to visual elements such as digital signage, social media content and digital menu boards leading to increased sales for my clients. I've collaborated with national-level brands such as Sport Check, Boston Market, Desjardins, Moose Knuckle, St. Hubert, Brunet, CTV, and TSN.
What I am currently doing //
Since completing my MA-level studies I've focused on teaching/lecturing at Durham College where I'm a Partial-load Professor and Program Coordinator for the Graphic Design Program at Durham College. I use my advanced skills in graphic design to teach a variety of subjects including design theory, typography, editorial design, print production, and design software including the Adobe CC Suite, where I lead and art direct the projects of 100+ students to ensure they meet the highest level of academic success enabling them to achieve their goals.
Outside the classroom, I'm experimenting with virtual reality and mixed reality-based projects, looking for ways to push the boundaries of traditional static design into a new experimental field.
